Mold Health Hazards
There has been a lot of concern lately about the
presence of mold within the confines of the modern, tightly insulated
home. Mold spores from damp, humid crawlspaces can permeate into living
areas causing serious health problems. The more toxic 'black molds'
such as Stachybotrys and Aspergillus can cause:
• Breathing difficulties
• Memory and hearing loss
• Dizziness
• Flu-like symptoms
• Chronic fatigue
• In severe cases, bleeding in the lungs.
Even the more common, less lethal molds are known
to be the cause of sinus infections and Asthma. A
1999 Mayo Clinic study attributed nearly all sinus infections afflicting
37 million Americans to mold.
By not being proactive and preventing mold problems
homeowners compromise their health and the health of their homes.
