Solacool Image

SOLACOOL

An interesting proposition. Solar Cooling. SolaCool provides relief from the sun when it is needed most.

In the early morning, the solar panel becomes active to reduce heat before the temperature in the roof space starts to rise.

As the day progresses, the fan's rotation rate increases in direct proportion to the solar intensity of the sun. Conversely, in winter, when the sun reaches a lower angle, the extraction rate of the vent declines but is still sufficient to remove any moist air in the roof space.

SolaCool is simple to install. The solar panel is located seperately on a nearby tile or is screwed to the roof battens (in a metal roof application).

No Electrical Installation Costs and No Ongoing Power Bills

SolaCool can reduce air conditioning costs and also improve the
effectiveness of insulation.

SUPAVENT

A New Generation in Turbine Ventilators

SupaVent is a world first - polycarbonate vent with a vertical vane design. This provides the following product advantages.

• The technology leader. Sturdy polycarbonate construction, vertical
vanes and permanently lubricated bearings ensure long life and
efficient performance.

• Attractive design. Its smooth aerodynamic profile complements almost any home.

• Performs in light breezes. The vertical vane design provides SupaVent with a superior starting torque in light breezes.

Won't rust or corrode. The UV resistant polycarbonate won't chip, crack or corrode. Unlike some metal vents, rust is never a problem.

Available in most popular colours. SupaVent is available in Night Sky™, Woodland Grey™, Brown, Shale Grey™, Pale Eucalypt™, Cottage Green™, Paperbark™, Surfmist®, Claypot, Headland®, or Deep Ocean®.

Withstands severe wind and rain. In independent laboratory trials, SupaVent withstood wind velocities of 240km/hr and satisfied the Internation Rain Dynamic Penetration Test.

Fits all roof types. SupaVent's "Vari-Pitch" base and flashing fits any roof type with slopes zero to 45°. Installation is a simple matter.

• 15 Year Warranty. Twin precision stainless steel bearings enable a 15 year extended warranty to be offered.

Turbo Ventura Image

TURBO VENTURA

Performance Far Above
Its Size

The Turbo Ventura was designed in Australia by Edmonds. It has a 150mm throat which, while smaller than conventional domestic turbine ventilators, is compensated by its vertical vane design.

This enables efficient operation at very low wind speeds - when most ventilators are not spinning.

Turbo Ventura has the following special features:

• Attractive Appearance. The size of the Turbo Ventura means that it blends subtely with most roof types.

• Unique Design. The vertical vane design and polycarbonate construction ensure efficient air movement. Two permanently lubricated bearings ensure a smooth and effective air flow.

• Won't rust, corrode or crack. The special polycarbonate composition cannot rust or corrode. The internal bracing is reinforced to prevent
stress cracking.

• Withstands severe wind and rain. In Independent laboratory trials, Turbo Ventura withstood wind velocities of 240km/hr and satisfied the Dynamic Rain Penetration Test.

• Fits any roof. Edmonds "Vari-Pitch" base design and flashing enables the Turbo Ventura to be fitted securely to any tile, metal or fibro roof with a pitch less the 45°.

• Easily installed. Concise and easy to follow installation instructions are included to enable any home handyperson to install Turbo Ventura. Alternatively, your retailer or Edmonds can arrange installation anywhere in Australia.

TURBOBEAM

Ventilation and Light

TurboBeam is the first turbine ventilator to provide roof space ventilation and enable natural light to enter the attic space.

These dual features provide the following benefits for homeowners:

• Better summer comfort.
TurboBeam removes very hot air from the attic space enabling it to be replaced by cooler, ambient air. This effect is particularly pronounced at night. The result is reduced roof space temperatures and less radiation of heat into the home.

• Illumination of the attic space.
TurboBeam uses a clear, acrylic turbine head and a highly reflective aluminium throat. This enables sunlight to be captured and focussed into the attic space. The sun drenched attic space assists visibility and creates an environment unconductive to termites.

Leading Australian Technology

• The technology leader.
Sturdy acrylic construction with UV inhibitors, vertical vanes and permanently lubricated stainless steel bearings ensure long life and efficient operation.

• Attractive design.
Its smooth, aerodynamic profile with transulcent features complements almost any home.

• Acts as a skylight.
The clear turbine head enables light to illuminate the roof space for storage and is particularly valuable for attic rooms.

• Extremely cool in summer.
The vertical vane design provides TurboBeam with efficent air discharge attributes thereby providing superior cooling in summer.

• Withstands severe wind and rain.
In independent laboratory trials, the TurboBeam vent design withstood wind velocities of 240km/hr and satisfied the International Rain Dynamic Penetration Test.

• Fits all roof types.
TurboBeam's "Vari-pitch" base and flexible flashing fits any roof type from zero to 45°.

WHIRLYMATE

Closable Ceiling Register Gives You Relief When Needed

WhirlyMate is a closable ceiling register which allows you to control the flow of heat from a room.

WhirlyMate is a closable ceiling register which allows you to control the flow of heat from a room. During summer, the vent is easily opened to allow warm room air to be drawn into the attic space for removal by a roof ventilator. Then, in winter, the vent can be closed to prevent loss of home heating.

WhirlyMate is very easy to install and simple to open and close. A feature is the ease of operation using a simple wand when installed in high ceilings. Its grille complements most decors and is made of attractive ABS. A feature is the unique, maintenance -free, shutter mechanism (patent applied for).

The Solution to Cathedral Ceiling Heat Buildup

While modern home design, with large glass areas, low or cathedral ceilings and second storey additions can be architecturally pleasing, they also allow summer heat to enter and collect in the home. Air conditioning is an expensive and energy inefficent solution. The answer is to install a WhirlyMate in hot rooms, such as kitchens, bedrooms and living areas. Hot air is then released from the home and vented through an Edmonds turbine ventilator such as a Supavent, or the powerful, thermostat controlled, Maestro 12V or Maestro Solar. In winter, WhirlyMate is simply closed to prevent heat escape from the home.
